The finished leg is smaller than the blank it is cut from, and the blank is smaller than the board it comes off. Charge the finished part and you have priced the sawdust at nothing. Charge the blank at the size it will be after the planer and you have sold a board that is not on the rack.
A blank of 630 × 100 × 23 does not come off a 630 × 100 × 23 board. It is bought as 700 × 110 × 32, and that last step is the one nobody does in their head: 23 mm looks like a 26 mm board, but with the 4 mm a planer takes it needs 27, and the board that is sold is 32. On one chair that single step is seventeen per cent of the oak.
It is not connected to any stock record. Nothing here ever touches a pack, a consumption or a Kubifex volume summary. An estimate is a price, not a movement of material.
It does not decide the margin for you, does not invent a board that is not sold, and does not put a coefficient on a round part and call it a square. The prototype multiplier lifts the cost, not the profit percentage.
It is a Vivifex product. A workshop that already has Kubifex Pro walks in without a second password. A workshop that does not, signs in with an e-mail.
Estifex is estimating software for a wood workshop that already quotes by hand. It reads a shape, works out the board that shape is cut from, and writes an offer the customer can hold. It never writes to stock.
Because that is the finished part, or at best the blank. The yard sells 26, 32, 40 and 50 mm boards. A 23 mm blank planed from a 26 mm board is a fiction: the planer takes 4 mm, so the board is 32. That step is about 17 per cent of the timber in a chair.
No. Kubifex is chain-of-custody material accounting. Estifex is a price. They share a door for Pro customers and they do not share a database. An estimate must never reach a pack.
Yes. A part can be dropped in and the segments read out of it. A whole set of sheets goes in at once and nothing is added to the estimate until somebody has looked at it. The drawing wins where it states the blank.
When it leaves. Trying five prices before sending one must not leave five holes in the book. The shape is Q-year-nnnn, counted per workshop and per year. Pressing again does not mint a second number.
Issued offers that have been answered — approved against rejected. Drafts are not offers. A status on something that never got a number is not an offer. Waiting is shown separately, not counted as a loss.
€89 a month per workshop, VAT excluded, and fourteen days to try the whole tool — not a cut-down version. There is no place limit and no card is asked for. Estifex is the timber rule and the offer, and it is priced as one tool, not as a suite you grow into.
No. Cabinet CAD/CAM prices kitchens from a parametric model and drives a machine. Estifex is for a workshop that quotes chairs, tables and turned parts from solid timber and sheets — the board on the rack, not a cabinet library. Nothing is drawn in it and nothing is sent to a saw.
A free L×W×T calculator gives the finished part, or at best the blank. It does not add planing allowance, does not round to 26/32/40/50 mm, and does not mint an offer number. That is why the quote and the yard disagree.
A furniture or components workshop of one to twenty people in the EU that already quotes in a spreadsheet or by eye. Denmark, Sweden, Latvia, Germany, Poland — anywhere the yard sells metric boards and the customer wants a paper with a number on it.
